DEMO BRAND

See README.md for what is real here and what is not.

Step 1 — Intake read, format checked

Format requested: testimonial. Template's When it's the wrong format checked against the experience file — creator has four weeks of use and a recorded before-state, so the format is available. Proceeding.

Collision found before writing anything. BV-4 requires a spoken partnership mention in the first three seconds. 01-testimonial.md requires that the product is not named in the opening line. These conflict.

Resolved per SKILL.mdDisclosure collisions: the client's contractual requirement wins, and disclosure is carried as its own beat ahead of the hook, so the hook itself still opens on the before-state rather than on the brand. Stated here rather than resolved silently.

Step 2 — The brief, as filled

Prompt  the brief, as filledvia script-from-intake
Write 10 opening lines for a 22-second testimonial.

PRODUCT
Sable 24cm skillet — a mid-price steel pan sold direct. Hand wash only.

MY ACTUAL EXPERIENCE — do not embellish, do not invent beyond this
Before: A supermarket own-brand pan, four years old, coating worn through
in the centre. Bare patch, dead centre.
After: Eggs released on the first try — cold pan, a smear of oil, no scraping.
Still not great: Heavy. Awkward to lift one-handed when it's full.

AUDIENCE
A renter in their late twenties who cooks four nights a week in a kitchen they
can't renovate, already owns one pan they resent, and ten minutes before seeing
this is deciding whether to cook or give up and order in.
What they already believe: that most kitchen marketing is aimed at people with
an island and a Sunday afternoon, and that it isn't for them.

BRAND VOICE
Never say: game-changer, obsessed, literally, honestly, elevate, foodie,
             girl math
Barred claims: non-stick forever; dishwasher safe (contract requires hand wash
only in all creative); clinically proven / lab tested; any
             comparison naming a competitor product

CONSTRAINTS
  - 9 words maximum per line
  - No question openers
  - No stacked adjectives — one descriptive word per line at most
  - Must contain one concrete sensory detail drawn from MY ACTUAL EXPERIENCE
  - Past or recent-past tense, first person
  - Do not name the product in the opening line

Return them as a numbered list, nothing else. No commentary.

Step 3 — Output, as generated

Output  as generatedclaude-opus-5 · 2026-08-14
1. I'd been scraping egg off that pan since 2022.
2. There was a bare patch, dead centre.
3. Four years in, everything stuck and I'd stopped noticing.
4. I'd started avoiding eggs entirely.
5. The coating gave up before I did.
6. My old pan had a grey ring in it.
7. I cooked eggs cold, with a smear of oil.
8. The scraping was the part I'd normalised.
9. Nothing came off that pan without a fight.
10. I replaced it after four years of scraping.

First choice: line 4. Shortest, most human, and it states a behaviour change rather than describing an object — which is the stronger before-beat.

Step 4 — claim-guard, first pass

BLOCKED — none.

UNSUPPORTED — 1 finding.

Line 4 — "I'd started avoiding eggs entirely."

Check: claim-to-experience trace. Failed against: experience.md. The file records that the coating was worn through and that food stuck. It does not record that the creator stopped cooking eggs. That is a behavioural claim about a person, inferred from a claim about a pan, and nothing on file supports it. It is not wrong. It is unsourced. Either add it to the experience file if it happened, or use a sourced line.

FLAGGED — 2.

  • Line 6, "grey ring": the file says bare patch, dead centre. Close, not identical. A ring and a patch are different shapes. Cut or correct.
  • Disclosure confirmation dated 2026-07-02, 43 days ago, and recorded as email, not in the contract. Present but ageing. Re-confirm with Priya before render.

Sibling check: lines 3, 8 and 10 all describe the scraping habit and all trace cleanly. Line 4's problem is specific to it, not a pattern across the set.

Step 5 — Human decision

Creator was asked whether line 4 was true. It was not — eggs had been cooked throughout, just badly. Line 4 was cut rather than back-filled into the experience file. Retro-fitting a file to justify a line you've already written is the exact failure the file exists to prevent.

Swapped to line 2, which traces directly to bare patch, dead centre.

Step 6 — Final script, as shipped

Final  as shippedclaude-opus-5 · 2026-08-14
DISCLOSURE Paid partnership with Sable. [0:00–0:02, spoken, per BV-4]
BEFORE There was a bare patch, dead centre.
TURN Swapped the pan. That was the change.
PROOF Cold pan, a smear of oil. They came off clean.
VERDICT It's heavy. I've hand-washed it for a month anyway.

19 seconds at read pace. Inside BV-4's 18–25s.

claim-guard, second pass: BLOCKED 0 · UNSUPPORTED 0 · FLAGGED 1 (the disclosure date, carried forward).

Two notes on the final beats:

  • "They came off clean" was checked against the barred claim non-stick forever on the semantic pass. It survives: it is a single past-tense observation of one occasion, with no permanence or generalisation. Had it read "nothing ever sticks now", it would have been BLOCKED.
  • "I've hand-washed it for a month anyway" was not required by the template. It is in there because the contract bars any suggestion of dishwasher use in creative, and showing the correct behaviour is stronger than avoiding the subject. This was a human addition, not generated.
